Opening Ceremony of the 6th Mediterranean Championship |
 With the presence of nearly all of the players, arbiters, a group of local journalists the opening cp was ceremony of the sixth edition of the Mediterranean Championship was held in the Kemer Anatolia Beach Hotel. The Mayor of Çavuşköy Dr.Yalçın Akkulak, member of the council of GATAB, the municipalities union that sponsor the championship, Geoffrey Borg as the General Secretary of the Mediterranean Chess Association and Vice Preisdent of the Turkish Chess Federation Kuvay Sanlı.
